Friday Fictioneers: No Refunds

I don’t have much of a intro for this week’s story. But, I am pleased to announce that today is my 10th Friday Fictioneers! I admit, it hasn’t been ten consecutive weeks, but it was none the less ten weeks total of stories in exactly 100 words. It has been great, and I hope to be with you all for many weeks to come. 🙂

No Refunds

“Never seen that before.” The old man said to her. “You make it do that?”

“No. It just happened.” she replied, leaning over the chair. “Just went out and saw it floating. Never really questioned it.”

He took a drink of his beer. “How much you want for it?”

“I don’t know. I’m not sure if I want to sell it.”

“500 enough?”

“Yeah, I suppose I could take that.”

The man wrote out a check to her, and then placed it in her hand. She smiled, and walked away, the check floating just above her hand. Three…two…one…
